As a Speech and Language Therapist working with a range of children with complex needs, I am very aware of the importance of creating safe spaces and regulating spaces, demand free environments where children can explore and interact with the world in a variety of different ways. I am delighted to announce that my beautiful, new sensory room, often used during speech and language therapy sessions, is now also available for private hire at selected times during the week. The unique multi-sensory environment is a specific space designed to allow the user to control all aspects of sensation in it.
The room has a range of bespoke equipment, including a large bubble tube, a projector, mood table, sound and light panels, an infinity tunnel and a rod wall, all serving to create both a calming and interactive atmosphere:
It is accessible to all, although probably most suited to under 13’s. Please note that a responsible adult must be present at all times and there is a maximum capacity of:
Maximum of 4 adults (with children under 1 year)
Maximum of 3 adults and 3 children under 3 years
Maximum of 2 adults with 1 or 2 children over 3 years
